Millward and Millward is a graphic design and communications firm which has been active in Stamford, Connecticut, since 1986. Together with associates in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, its principals, Peter Millward and Ruth Millward, nurture a reputation for the practical, yet unusual.
When you need more than graphic communications, Millward and Millward works with or supervises teams comprised of other creative groups. These include writers, printers, photographers, video service providers, display and signage manufacturers, internet technicians, and web-hosting services. Functioning as the prime contact, we facilitate communications between you and our team.
Likewise, the firm collaborates with marketing and business development specialists, account managers, public relations specialists, and strategic planners. These arrangements result in teams designed for clients with specific purposes and projects.

Who We Are
Peter Millward was educated in Canada and Switzerland and holds a Swiss National Diploma in Graphic Design from the College of Design / Basel, Switzerland. His background includes experience as Senior Designer at Lintas / Muir Cornelius Moore, Inc., Boca Raton, FL, and at Anspach Grossman Portugal, Inc. New York, as well as in many special assignments domestically and abroad. He has taught at art schools and universities in Canada, the United States, and Switzerland: University of Alberta, Philadelphia University of the Arts, University of Houston, Louisiana State University, the Kent State / Basel Summer Program in Switzerland, and the Hartford Art School.
Ruth Millward earned a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, and a Masters equivalent from the College of Design / Basel, Switzerland. In addition to obtaining numerous commissions in Switzerland and the United States, she worked as a designer for Herman & Lees of Cambridge, MA, and for Anspach Grossman Portugal, Inc., New York. She has taught and lectured at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio State University, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Philadelphia University of the Arts, and at Louisiana State University, where she directed the Graphic Design Program.
